Just found a website for an Australian job expo coming up in March in London and October in Manchester if anyone is interested. There will be companies and recruitment agencies looking for skilled workers to sponsor.

Im considering going, but dont want to waste my money if there not any good.

Hi Shell

I don't anticipate getting a job offer from the expo. I'm hoping to network and interview with recruitment agents so I can go straight to interview stage with companies when I get to Oz as it will save time. I also want to find out information on the local job market and recruitment agents are the best source.

I went to the one in manchester back end of 2006, and to be honest i thought it was rubbish,,,paid £20 to get in (me and the wife) and came away with very little, very few employers there,,most were public services and health service employers.

i would only recommend it for those who have not yet applied for a visa, for those awaiting a visa or visa in hand,,,you can get all the possible info from this and other forums.

take my advice save your money, we left feeling really disapointed.

I agree this years was rubbish, but hubby did get an interview and job offer.
