      Shop work

      Hello. :D
I'm hoping to be joining my son and his family within the next couple of years. By the time I get there, I reckon I will be 54/55. My question in; will I still be able to find work at that age? I have 24 yrs experience in a very well known supermarket as a stock controller, but, does experience count for anything there, or do employers want a younger workforce. :?
      Thanks in advance.
      Debra

Hey I have rellies that around the same age as you who work in shop/managerial positions and I get the feeling that, yes, experience matters. The Australians like people who have worked for one employer for a long time rather than one that has wandered from job to job so no worries.
