      AHPRA Registration/ CV helpppp please!!!

      Hi, hoping someone can help?!

I have been looking on different forums/websites for awhile which has really helped but figured i might get quicker answers from others going through it/been through it, by joining myself.
I have mostly completed my Ahpra application, rearranged my CV (hopefully) to Ahpra standards, plus as many certificates i can lay my hands on (not actually that many!), have made a form to show some CPD then got that signed from work and plan to go see a notary asap to seal the deal. Ive sent a request to my uni for breakdown of hrs/transcript and have the paperwork to send to NMC for verification which i'll post to them the day i most my app etc to Ahpra, hopefully that will allow time for Ahpra to start processing my app and then they'll receive my NMC details

Few things i still want to check....
      1) I work in neuro itu and coming up to two years qualified, as ive only had one job since qualifying should i put only this on CV or should i add some student placement experiences on there too??
      2) For speed ive been told to apply to smaller offices like adelaide/darwin to get registered but on the application it asks for the state of your principle address where u plan to work (i want to work in QLD) will this not look strange if i send to a different office??
      3) Ive also seen a couple of people have said about signing a Statuory declaration in front of a notary re having studied/been assessed in english. Is this something i have to write up myself?? or does the notary do this??

Sorry for so many questions (i probably have more that ive forgot) but just really concerned with getting as much right as possible to speed up the process!!!!

Some nurses have taken months at Brisbane, one here took 16 days from posting in the UK to Adelaide. It won't matter which office unless you have a job offer.

      Put down all your experience.

For english evidence I sent certified o and a level certs (some stated the school on it but not all) and a letter from my old school say I had attended and studied and was assessed in english. Others have sent Statutory Declaration, both have been okay, do what's best for you.
A statutory dec can be made and signed etc by notary or justice of the peace. There are formats online if you search on google. I did one for a prospective employer but got a fellow nurse to sign it. APHRA requirements are ALWAYS different to everyone else's!

Good luck and ask more questions we are glad to help

Thanks so much for your response Gil! When i first started looking into going back to Aus and working as a nurse i knew there would be paperwork involved but the more i think i finally have everything to send off, the more there is!!

So just to be sure.. i should just write my principal address state as Adelaide on the app form as thats where im sending it to but that wont matter in the long run, if i present in person in QLD and apply for jobs there after (hopefully) getting successful reg.... is that what u mean?? Sorry if im being thick lol

That's exactly what Gil means - unless you have a definite job offer you just put in the name of the state where you are going to submit your AHPRA. Adelaide and Darwin have both been good lately .

For myself and my daughter, we both submitted notarised copies of our GCSE/ O Level certificates and that was adequate for AHPRA. We did have to ensure that the certificates had our full name on and the name of the shcool/ college that we studied at. I also submitted a statutory declaration as my secondary school has closed and been demolished and I knew that there was no way of AHPRA contacting them, if they wished to do so.

      Good luck with your application

Thanks Val! Wish i'd joined a forum awhile back now as only small things but they've been niggling at me, makes a difference to speak to people that have been through it, and made it to the other side going to see the notary tomo then sending it all off and hoping for the best!!!!

Whereabouts are u and your daughter heading?

Hey, ive just got my working holiday visa granted so im looking at flying into Sydney in January now.. so excited! As for my CV - yeah i did put my student placements on there in the end. How much experience/jobs have you had? I only put them on there as im fairly new to nursing (2yrs+) and have only had the one job! Might not be the case for you though.... The stat dec i got by googling and then the notary made me read it out and sign with him... if you want to see any particular docs like my CV or stat dec PM me your email address and i'll send it you, if that helps! AHPRA are so particular about the application and will throw anything back that they deem not enough info, which only prolongs the process. So if i can help in any way, i'll try my best!!
