Project Manager, Co-ordinator plus much more- much work in Melbourne?

Hubby is a project manager/co-ordinator on some pretty large building projects, a CDM co-ordinator, expert witness on construction/structural engineering matters, Party Wall surveyor, all of which he's been doing for many years (we've run our own business for 13 years), prior to which he was a loss adjuster. We had been looking at Melbourne, but are now really worried (given the many threads on people not being able to find jobs there), that employment would be a real issue. We've got a permanent residency visa which runs out next year. After a rocky first part to the year, work is now flooding in and we just can't decide whether we should give up on such a good thing, with little security for the future. We are so lucky, we've got our health, a lovely house (which took years to renovate), we are financially OK and the kids are happy at school. We have our hearts set on a particular school and have their names down on a "very short waiting list", but the school won't confirm whether or not we have a place for next January until this June. I would be looking for something very casual, minimum wage (whatever that is over there and not sure if there is much work of this type anyway) to help out/get out of the house! We would be looking at the penninsula way (MMartha/Eliza/Mornington). Any thoughts please?

Try Golder Associates....hubby works for them in Cairns and they have an office in Melbourne...in fact all over Australia. Hubby is project Manager. They have jobs all the time :O)
