White Goods in Rental

Hi we are arriving at the end of October we have a months accommodation sorted but what Iw as interested to know is, the long term rentals do they come with white goods in the kitchen ie oven fridge freezer, washing machine etc. We have the packers coming at the end of next week so we need to know what we need to take.

hope some of you that have rented long term can give me some guidance on this

We looked at loads of rentals and they did differ. However, everyone we saw had a cooker but often that was it. Some of the newer houses had a built-in dishwasher but none had fridge/freezer or washing machine. This is just my experience though.

As Myrtle says , you will find a cooker and possibly a dishwasher but no other white goods are normally left in, the rest you have to provide. Be careful if your going to buy a fridge freezer as some have built in spaces so the big double door type may not fit, best to find the house first and take it from there.

As others have said you normally get a cooker and have to provide the rest yuourself. When you arrive then decide what you need and what will fit into your rental.

When you go shopping for white goods remember that you ask what is the best price they will do for you, especially if you are buying 2 or more items. NEVER pay the ticket price, you are expected to haggle and dont be affraid to try several shops to see what is the best deal you can get.

This is soooo not my thing - but I soon got into the swing of things after reading this on here!! Hubby was mortified and sloped off, leaving me to it! Couldn't believe how much of a saving I got each time - oh yeah and there was the buzz too
