hi there ... just reading about vac packs..... not a good idea.... talking about first hand experience.... thought fantastic..... out came vac pack... in went the clothes..... sucked the life out of it.... did everyones clothes... grinned at how clever l was.... hmmmm..... all set for shipping..... then one of them gave an example of how the container would look if l left it to chance that the others had a fault.... which did not show up straight away.... basically box exploded .... ok a bit OTT ..... but to say the least my carefully packed vac pack had decided to suck in some air... and yes l checked it throughly for any air escape... but if you can imagine,..... as you want to pack as much as possible... like a whole lifetime of stuff..... space is premium so every box is packed without space to spare.... this gives any wayward vac pack to use these other things as a pushing device as it makes more room for itself..... all l could see was my container being opened and customs looking freely at my belonging hanging around and wondering what on earth happened... needless to say l have now removed vac pac from its service

Hi,
We too have been told no vac packing in container due to mold but fine for suitcases.

Would love to open a container after a vac pac explosion!!!
