Neither - we have our own two and three pin plugs with flat prongs, smaller than UK plugs. Rumour has it that in Queensland you actually need to get a sparkie to put plugs on for you.
Picture here scroll down for the plug - it was the first picture of a plug I came to!

2 pin - and cost next to nothing at Bunnings (hubby says you can get 3 pin too)

No need for a sparkie to change the plugs up in QLD, even a non DIYer like me had no problem.

Noooo. You just need to buy the adapter:

Maplin > Universal Travel Adaptor Set

(The one on the left).

I bought some from Wilkinsons (yay for Wilko's) for GBP 1.99 a piece.

LOL I know you CAN change them (even I can put on a plug) I just thought there were some regulations about sparkies needing to do them - maybe for insurance purposes I dunno. Always struck me as a bit shonky I must admit! I will, of course refrain from making any pejorative remarks about Queenslanders DIY skills

Re the adapters - they are a real PITA if you need them all around the house I reckon (I am too lazy to get an Aus charger for my phone and it more than doubles the size of the plug). Someone suggested bringing a couple of UK power boards and then just having the adapter on the power board plug which seemed like a good idea.

My advice is ship over about six strip sockets and change the one plug instead of 4 or you will soon get fed up when you reach plug number 24 when you could be on number 6.
