Tea bags

Does anyone know of a way to get PG Tips tea bags in Oz?

I know it sounds sad but the last time I lived there the only (food) thing I missed was PG Tips. The tea bags in Oz are a lot weaker and I ended up buying the Tetley's strong mug bags to get a half decent cuppa. Even the Twinings tea bags aren't the same.

I'm pretty sure that that tea bags are on the banned import list so I don't think getting a regular supply posted from the UK is feasible.

Hi, I was just reading another thread and on there they said that you can get PG Tips and North Lakes QLD

Not sure where you are heading, but I should think you will be ok

I have noticed the tea here to be weaker. I love my tea strong, like my men (just kidding), and have tried several. Someone did recommend I try "Billy Boy"? (Something like that!), as it's supposed to be strong, but have yet to do so.
It's funny, mother sent me a load of teabags over, last year, and they made it through quarantine...lol... but my poor Pot Noodles got banned.
The AQIS has no consistency when it comes to what gets banned and what doesn't. It depends on which officer is on duty at the time. The cocky new officers are strict, and the old'uns often allow prohibited items through. That's what I was told, when I phoned up and asked for my dearly beloved Pot Noodles back. (I think they ate them, personally.)

Hi - saw some in Bi Low last weekend, also I am sure I have seen them in Coles as well. Also bought some real Mint Sauce (how sad am I), there is also a brit shop in Sanctuary Cove where you can buy all the old traditional sweets - sports mixture, palm of violets, yorkshire pudding mix etc - all at a price of course but it was nice to buy them as a treat.

Supa IGA sells Pot Noodles? or strong teabags?

Hi Kath, I love that lil shoppe at Sanctuary Cove!!! We go there from time to time for some lil treats! Last time I saw they had the "Flamin' Hot" Monster Munch. I asked if they could get the Beef flavoured ones in, but he said they just get what comes in on the pallett and can't pick and choose. Got some Cola Cubes and Pineapple Cubes, last time. Mmmmm! And Cherry Coke!

P.S. I bought some Colmans Mint Sauce from the Specialty Foods section in Coles.

Just buy loose tea and then make it as strong as you want. Usually nicer than bagged stuff too, so it's win win :D

Go to Coles supermarkets. They have sections of an aisle with lots of Uk stuff. L&P Worchester Sauce, Colemans Mustards and Sauces, PG Tips etc. Well worth a look.

Does anyone know where to buy Jaffa cakes

Ian
