I just paid $170 for my hair cut and coloured - a really important expense to know about for all the ladies lol
..
I have a lady that comes to my home (as she left the hairdressers now), at the hairdressers cut n highlights was £75.00 at my own home it is £55.00, still alot of money - should have been a hairdresser LOL
I suppose if wages are lower in Oz than here then it works our more expensive then to have your hair cut in Oz (although obviously the hairdressers earn well in Oz!).
Right then, have tried to collate some gen from other posts and sites. Let me know if the numbers are wrong. Wide variation for different areas, especially Sydney!!!

(this is a statement that it is not cool to drink and drive, as authorised by the nsw govt...(said very quickly at the end of any govt advert)
we are just applying for visas and wanted to know what the cost of living was like: e.g. how much is loaf bread, milk etc?? Much diff to UK?
ALso, why are people including in their monthly expenses mortgage & rent? Do you not pay one or the other??!!
Can anyone help here? Does your wages tend to cover your cost of living comfortably like here?
Cheapish loaf of bread...£2.50
2L of milk ....£2.00
Our Quarterly electric bill was $275. Seems a lot more than everyone else is paying and we hardly have air con on ever.
