Hiya ,,you dont see half as many as the tv shows and documentarys would like you to think ,,for anyone who watched Wanted Down Under they will know me and crawlies arent best friends but after 6 mths here and living in 3 different houses ive not seen much more than daddy long legs!! we found one tiny grasssnake at the back of our new house and one huge hunstman was in a tree we had cut down other than that nothing !!!The pest sprays you get in and outside do work and keep the bugs at bay ,my 3 yr old regually plays out barefoot as do the neighbours kids and loads of others, you stop worrying after a while when you realise incy wincy isn't possed around that corner waiting to jump !!!

Snakes don't really like people so you almost never see them in built up areas
Spiders are around but again not realy a problem just watch out around the wood pile.
A couple of pest xit duo's will keep the house clear
