Taking New Stuff

I was thinking of replacing duvets etc., and taking them as heard they were expensive but read that items need to be owned for 12 months. How do they know?

Ali :?

Nelson is on a distinguished road
Feather duvets would be a problem to import anyway but did you realise that Australian bed sizes are different to ours :?:

I'm looking around at prices of duvets at the moment, as ours are getting a bit old and needing replacing, so if you want some example prices, let me know what you want to compare.

I'm probably getting an All wool queen bed duvet this weekend for $79.00.
Aust Queen size bed (203 x 152cm) is about equal to UK King Size.

Target have some for $60, but I have seen some cheaper for about $30, but not sure about the quality.

I've also seen some 100% Goose Down ones for $210.00

We don't use Tog ratings here though, so it isn't easy to compare.
I've just checked a UK site, King size Goose down 12tog, for £149, and will try to see what weight it compares to with the $210 one here that is rated as 1,000gsm.

Regarding the question of "how would they know". In practice. they won't even bother if it isn't still wrapped, and even if it is, it is highly unlikely they will be concerned, unless you have a number of them :)
