Hi everyone, I`m a 1st class welder (heavy gauge) with 26yrs experience, does anyone know of any companies who would be willing to sponsor me on the 475 visa. Although i was told that welders are in demand, and I am applying for 3 or 4 jobs every day, I haven`t had any success. I`ve updated my cv and aimed it at the Australian market, but I`m beginning to think that it`s not what you know, but who you know!
How can I get registered with the Australian government sites, they seem to be aimed at Australians only

Hi guys/girls, my name is Tony and i`am a landscape gardener with over 15 years experience and currently work with my local authority . I just recieved my visa on friday 27 th july 2012. its been along process but the end result was worth it. i sat my IELTS from which i needed a score of 7 or above and was achieved . I then had my skills assessed by TRA which was sucssessful , but some of the questions had to be very detailed right down to the size of screw/nut that was used and why (question 8), but i got there in the end thanks to our agent stating that more information was required. I then went for my meds (MANCHESTER) and had my police checks done (express delivery) and both came back passed.
I`am now awaiting the sale of my house and me and my family are off to WA .

SO GUYS/GIRLS PLEASE KEEP YOUR HEAD AND CHIN UP AS IT`S A LONG PROCESS BUT IN THE END ITS ALL WORTH IT , SO KEEP BELIEVING AND ONE DAY YOUR DREAMS WILL COME TRUE LIKE MINE DID

      regards tony

Hi guys, girl. I'm new to this site and just joined today so thought I would introduce myself. I'm Wayne, 30 from the uk, and I am a time served fully qualified carpenter. I'm at the very beginning of my visa application process (190 sponsored) through Victoria as I have some Aussie friends who live there and I'm pulling all the documentation/ evidence together for my skills assessment. I have chosen vetassess. Has anyone been through this process before for my trade, all feedback would be greatly appreciated.
      thanks in advance.
