Angry Blooming agents!!!

Hi all
Just wondered if anyone knows how whole visa process works, as Im not sure if our agent is being lazy or if our applications is being dealt with. So heres our story.

Applied for a PR visa subclass 136 beginning of last August (o7). acknowledged and receipts etc granted in Feb 08. Advised by agent to get meds done to "speed things up", so had meds done in march 08. Were told it would be 3 month wait to find out if we passed the meds. We also had to get various documents eg.work ref from my OH etc . We told our agent in march that these docs would take a while to get hold of. In fact it took 3 months!! We sent them all to agent at the begining of June as soon as we received them. Our agent did say that was all the documents we needed to send and that "it should not be long now" I think we have got a CO as we had a document emailed to us with a COs name written at the top. Our agent sent us a mail this morning saying she only sent the doc to DIAC (i think thats were it all gets processed) on the 28th July!! and now wants to know if my OH work ref is infact a work ref..??? we said it was..
Im annoyed now as I don't know if its the agent who is holding things up by not dealing with our application appropriately or if its the DIAC who requests documents in drifts and drabs. Our medicals run out in March 09, (oh and we still have not heard if we have all passed this) the house has not gone on the market yet and now prob wont sell due to the crash and time of year. Im stressed and frustrated to the max and begining to think we will never get this visa. Its taken all of our life savings..and I want to email our agent to tell her what I think but Just in case its not her fault..i can't. I just wish they would keep us in the loop more....
sorry for the rant but had to get rid of this anger some how.....

I really feel for you this is a very stressful time for us and as you say the credit crunch what bad timing too !

You are sure to get your visa soon have all of the August applications received their visas now? I thought they had by now surely. Once again you got caught up in that fiasco too. I know if you have an agent they tell you not to phone the CO but we did and they were fine with it the first time we called and the second time we called they asked if we had an agent and didnt pass us through to co but did log note our file and the next thing we knew we were another step closer. You have nothing to lose by telephoning your CO to ask if all the documentation is with them and is there anything else required. I am sure they would be understanding as lets face it you have been waiting over a year now and that really is not on.

Hi Kdal...
I dont have a telephone number for our CO or know for sure if we do have one. Now I can't find the email with the name on it.....OH MAN!!!! our agent is next to useless...she wont be on my xmas list thats for sure..Thank you for your message..
