2 houses both on market for months only 3 viewings combined!!! both dropped to bare minimum still no viewings, if this carries on we will remortgage to release equity use that to go and rent houses out, cannot see any other way. However we have a few months before our visa comes (fingers crossed) still awaiting skilss assessment you never know it may pick up, if the house builders have stopped building may make 2nd hand homes more desirable. the media needs shooting for this they talk the recession up all of the time!!!

Our house has been on the market over a month (sorry cant remember when I put it on now), but not one viewer !!
Anyway we have talked and talked about this and now have a plan 'b' which we have put into action. We have instructed our EA to put our house up saying we will 'Consider a Part-Exchange', then we can pay of the mortgage and hopefully rent out the part-ex. Not ideal but at least it gets us to where we want to be AND ifthat doesnt happen we have 'Plan C' which is :-
When we get the visa we will need to validate by the 1/12/08, therefore we will leave things until as close to this date as we can get, if no house is sold we will then book flights to validate that visa that we know we are going to get (oh i'm tempting fate now lol), go to Australia for 2/3 weeks and look for a rental, we will all (4 of us) come back then and then in January if house still not sold the kids and I will go to Australia whilst Daren will stay here until the house has sold or he wins the lottery LOL We dont think the wages in Australia will pay mortgage and rental but hopefully on a shoestring we should be able to do it this way round.
