Hi all i will be flying to Adelaide sometime from Dec 08 to March 09 ,Flying from London last year i paid £713 ,I know it will cost a bit more because of fuel prices but do you know of any deals you have got ,i have looked and its looking like £900,Also is it cheeper to go in different mths Thanks for any help
Qantas always have offers for flights between April-jun (mel/syd) so yes it's cheaper to fly to oz in the off season. Check their website to see the variation in their prices plus the offers.

I got a flight from Heathrow to to Brisbane for my daughter on February the 25th this year for £590 with Singapore Airlines they weren't the cheapest but we like Singapore Airlines and the stopover time in Singapore was the shortest.

Hi and thanks for your advice,i just looked at their site and for me to fly to Adelaide next feb is £1,060 which i pray i will find for less,I have to fly to Adelaide because my girlfriend is driving from Mildura to pick me up.
hiya,
You've probably thought of this already....but only a couple of airlines fly directly into Adelaide so fare can be pricey. Have you thought about flying into Melbourne and getting a Virgin Blue flight from Melbourne into Adelaide?
I am off visiting friends in Sydney in march 09 and every couple of days I check the major airlines for special offers. It can pay off, the fares i were interested in were around £1100+ what with it being around easter BUT Qantas had a sale for a couple of days last week when they announced the new airbus service. I booked immediately and my tix including tax were £745, and after seat sale went back to being over £1100

I don't blame you for wanting to fly direct, 26hours is way too long anyway.
At least you won't be hanging around waiting for your luggage and a connecting flight.
