Feel really low today. My best friend has announced this week that they are moving to Bahrain as her o/h has been offered a job there. They have been over for dinner this evening as he is now off tomorrow and my friend will join him after Xmas. This has all been arranged within a week and i feel completely devastated. Why do i feel so bad though, when i told her a few months ago that we were going to Oz and i just expected her to cope with it and now the tables have turned.
May be it has made me realise how it feels to lose the people you love.
If this is how I feel now how on earth how am I going to feel leaving every one.

Mel i been in Oz for a month and know what it like. Only this morning i got a text from my dad and mum back in the UK and a few emails from friends once you get here you will be busy sorting thing out that you will be to busy to miss people but you will always think of them while you doing everything as i been thinking about my family back in the UK but knows im only a plane ride away if i want to go and see them
The thing is my friends have been my family and support for so many years. My mum and dad only really came back into my life pretty much 6 years ago when my son was very ill. We have gotten over the issues that we had. My mum told me this week that she is gutted that we are leaving. I now feel so guilty that the hurt i feel for my friends is now what my mum is feeling for me. Does that make sense??

My parents divorced 3 years ago when i finally moved out of home back then I had little contact with them both I use to vist my mum every 6 months and I only went to see my Dad once last august for a day my friends became my family so i know what it like. I know my sister took me moving here bad and she tells me daily she miss me and wishes i was back there part of me wishes i was at the moment knowing i given up my career, friends and family back there to be with my finace was the right thing for me to do.
knowing im missing my mums wedding in 4 weeks is a big killer and she upset because im not going to be there as her brother and sisters have let her down.

Look on the brightside, you won't have as far to fly to Bahrain as England and also it's another country to visit, I know you feel sad, but things will improve for you I'm sure.

Hope you're feeling a bit better by now. Its so hard when things change in your life even if you are the one making the changes. As you've said you are planning to go to Oz and now your friend is going to Bahrain. Its bound to be a sad time and your emotions will be all over the place but in this wonderful world of emails, phones and webcams you need not feel too far from each other. I do feel loads better this morning. Have hugged my friends o/h goodbye as he is going today. Felt a bit teary, but have got my positive head on again and am looking forward to the future.

You are not losing the ones you love, you are moving on and they will still be close in your heart. Also you will have the opportunity to meet many new friends and before you know it you will have friends here there and everywhere. You are going on an adventure and those who love you will be happy for you and will be looking forward to the next time they see you.
