Also, you may need to look at Database optimisations - I am guessing you're using SQL server, and there are couple of hints that could be used to increase speed, with minimun changes.

Another aspect of speed is the concept of perceived speed. For this, maybe the pages can be optimised too.

Hope this helps.
Thanks Skippy - Much appreciated - It really is down to the budget hosting used currently. Can't fault the IT guys - Its just not the right setup for something so server intensive.

Hi I have had the slow problem since I joined last week! Can I just say if anyone goes on the chat section, please try and reply fairly quickly?Sometimes I will chat, and at times even 5 minutes later the person still has'nt answered.I understand that maybe you get disturbed, maybe the phone rings or someone at home is talking or whatever but can you please excuse yourself first and that way the person can do something else for a while instead of twiddling thumbs?

No worries Tim. Happy to help if needed.

Just noticed that the site is built on vBulletin 3.7.1.

I guess there is some scheduled update at some stage.

Out of interest, did you know that your header images, called 'header_mid_logo.gif' is a hefty 11103 bytes in size.

Not a criticism, though. But surely this size can be decreased without affecting the logo.

Sorry, my habit is to analyse sites and opitimisations issues. Being a .net architect, it's almost an obsession...:(
