Unfurnished Houses in Oz

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know what is included in an unfurnished house. Are all the kitchen appliances ie: fridge, cooker and hob, dishwasher supplied in the kitchen and also is there anything in the utility room ie washing machine and tumble drier? Going to rent unfurnished place and just buy a few bits to tide us over until our container arrives.
I know you can rent white goods and furniture so could always do that if we are short of a few essentials.
But would great to know what to expect before we get there!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alison,
Normally its just a cooker and maybe a dishwasher, we have rented 2 properties here in oz and both had cooker & dishwasher no fridge or washmachine etc

same around here ,a dishwasher and cooker is about as much as you get,i havnt seen any with elec goods or furniture in.

Same here just dishwasher, hob and oven as it is build in nothing else.

As a rule - unfurnished will contain any built in appliances, like a hob/oven (not always a dishwasher)

Hi Guys,
Many thanks for your replies!! They fully answer my question. With this in mind is the renting of white goods and thing like TV's easy to do and reasonably priced??
We are bringing most of our household appliances and furniture but this wont get to Aus for a fair while so will need to fill the rented house with the essentials in the meantime..
Going to be weird living in a sparce house but keep thinking of how easy it will be to keep clean without all that junk in the way.
