Is it still too early???

Hi we submitted our 176 visa on-line on the 26th March, our medicals have been sent off last week and we are thinking of starting police checks in the next day or two. Our dilemma is the house shall we put it up for sale now or is it still to early?? Realisticly could we be out in Oz this year or do you think it will be more next year??? Finding it so hard to make all these decisions. Please help!!!

With the housing market like it is now then i would put your house up for sale sooner rather than later. Then if it sells your ready to go to Oz as and when you want to. You could always rent somewhere if your house sells really quickly.

I am hoping to get my house sorted by end of June and then put it on the market. Will be flying out to Oz in Jan 2009.

We are in exactly the same position as you and we have decided to put the house up for sale in the next couple of weeks. If it sells we will have to rent something before we get the visa if not at least it is a better time of the year at the moment to sell compared to waiting for autumn or winter. I'm prepared to live in a caravan if i have to!!
