Hi Dean,

chest xrays only for adults, meds for kids or if anyone on the 457 is going into the classroom or medical environment they need meds.

Good Luck

Question Wondering how to?

Hi Dean, have just noticed you posted question regarding your migration to oz as a motor vehicle technician. im merely being nosey, but can i ask are you going over by yourself or are you being sponsored? its just that me and my oh have just started looking into possiblity of emigrating over, but due to large family, (3 young kids) we had thought the easiest was thru sponsoring. my oh is a motor vehicle technician for volkswagen with over 20 years experience, 10 with vw. may i ask how you went about locating a job etc as i really dont know where to begin. one person has kindly advised us to speak to our vw here and look into that way, i just wondered if there was another way as we dont wish to spook them just yet. lol. if none of this applies to you then sorry to have troubled you, just that am going at his totally blind at mo. cheers and good luck to you and yours

Hi,

I saw a job advertisement in a tabloid and sent my CV. I had interviews and questionaires by email, and eventually I had a job offer with sponsorship. The company has employed an agent who is dealing with my visa.

I am a VW/Audi Master Tech and have worked with these for the past 20 years and I am going to a VW garage in Oz.

The agent that was advertising in England for the Ozzie company is, Impact Recruitment Services they have done all the paperwork for me and are helping me and my family to relocate.

We also went into this blind, almost forgot I had sent the CV untill I got a reply and now we cant wait to go. I hope this has helped and good luck in what you decide.

Dean.

Talking Grateful

Hi Dean

Many thanks for geting back to me so quickly. All the info is very helpful. I have emailed the recruitment company you mentioned and am just waiting on a response. Hopefully, they are still lookin on behalf of VW.

May I enquire how long ago your application went in and also how long the whole process is expected to take you from applying to actually getting there? Only reason I ask is that my OH is 43 and i know that they have guidelines up to age 45, so we in bit of rush!!! lol

Also if you dont mind me asking, which part of Australia are you heading for? Just that we not 100% sure where we wanna go let alone where VW are based? Suppose we quite flexible as long as it good for kids and job guaranteed. And probably a really personal question, and dont fee obliged to answer any of them but have you had to anything towards fees etc? only reason ask is that wholst we do own our own property, we would be looking to rent it out rather than sell it so would prefer as little expense as possible. Also do you get a say so on where you based and what kind of accommodation you have or do they decide all that for you? Just that i would like to have some say any rented property that was offered to us.

Again really sorry if im seemin nosey, just that like yu said, doing it blind is really hard and as you the only person that i have come across that is doing exactly what we want to do, looking to you for guidance. No pressure !!!!!lol

ANyway hopefully ill hear back from you, but if not all the best to you and your family. When is it you are heading out there? Hopefully soon. All the best

KArina
