Red face Housing

Just wondering if anyone has got their house on the market at the mo. We put ours up a week ago...not a single thing since then. I know its very early days for us but this is our first house so I'm not sure if this is the norm or if its the market etc????

LOL

HI, i think u know the answer. The housing market is diabolical over in Uk. I have had my house up for sale since october with no interest, its a cute 2 bedroomed old semi, very quaint and ideal for first time buyers. but there arent any. its sitting empty now but what can you do?? Good luck with yours.

Thanks wheezy! I know its early days yet I was just trying to get a feel for how long people have had their house on the market. Are you over in Oz now then??? Do you rent your house in the UK out or have you just left it on the market?

Good luck and I hope you get a buyer soon

Love

Toni

My lovely house has been on the market for 18 months. I moved here six months ago and am now seriousl considering renting it out, but I'm really afraid that it will get trashed after being done up so nicely for sale.

Mum and Dads house went on the market a while back and they have had minimal viewings! Not looking good in the UK housing market....what with that and the crabby Xchange rate!

Hi Toni. yes we are over in Brisbane now. we got to Aus in feb and started renting here 2 months ago. my partners house is being rented out in the uk, we tried to sell his for abt 9 months. i have had a tenant in mine for 2 yrs now but she just left. so frustrating as i am considering renting it again but she has just left and was a fantastic tenant. I have already dropped price by 15K and a house that size with low price to start with is quite a lot. seems it worse time to sell now, great, as we so need to.

Take care and lots of luck.

We've had our UK house up for sale for about 5 weeks and had 1 viewing....pretty frustrating.

The estate agents couldn't get off their backsides to save themselves - they think that all they need to do is put it on the net and just sit back and wait for the calls. I think they've had it too good for too long and have forgotten what proactive selling means.
