Hi Janette,
My name is Lisa, I just wanted to tell you what happened with my Xander at Xmas (whilst we were in Barcelona!!)
We got a call from my Dad to say that he had been rushed to the emergency vet..he was bleeding profusely from each end. He was given a 10% chance of pulling through. Put on drips and sedated.
We were told that he prob wouldn't come home and to prepare for the worst. They didn't know what it was!
It was a virus, that's all, a doggy virus that he picked up from the park!! It was killing him though, it had taken the lining away from his stomach inc. all of the good bacteria that is in their gut.
Anyway........long story short...... I've just been shouting him for trying to be gay with my other mutt Neo.......he's put all of the weight back on all he's fine!!
What you are going through sounds very much the same! Don't give up!
On a more sad note........our 18yr old cat died in our arms yesterday. We've just buried her! 18! What a life!! Spoilt rotten!!
Take care, Lisa, X
