I've read loads of threads regarding application waiting times and have noticed that many have received a receipt for fees. We haven't.... Should we have ? (they have definitely had it...like most of us I have the credit card bill to prove it!!)
At the end of March our agent said that AH is way behind, apparently because of the increase in work load due to the Sept' changes and no extra staff....Interestingly she advised us to go ahead with med's and PC's only WHEN we get a case officer assigned whereas most seem to have got them done first. Which is best - med's before CO assigned or med's after ?
From memory, here is our time line...
Aug (07) - Appoint agent
Nov 2 - TRA lodged
Nov 27 - TRA Accepted
Nov 28 - Visa application (and fees) sent
Dec 13 - DMA confirm application received
Apr 21 .................................................. ........the silence is deafening!
we have had a receipt that they have recieved money and application and it was logged april 1st ,we sent ours end of march 08, it says to have meds, police checks before co, also they are just giving sept intake co .We are with a agent to,so i would just check with agent .The receipt tells you information about police checks etc ,hope this helps paula

Sorry for the slow response, haven't been on line for ages....
Sunny Hunny is just great..this week anyway...winter has been so long, especially after such a crap summer last year, however, we are about a week into a cracking heatwave and have spent a good few hours on the beach...at last! Hope to get in some fishing off Old Hunstanton soon near Le Strange Arms.
Being used to the quiet and touristy lifestyle, we have our sights set on the tropical north of Queensland. However, we plan a quick tour (4-6 weeks) around the major cities and do aim to keep an open mind, so any feedback either way would be greatly appreciated.
JBP,
In reply to your original Q we got receipt of money taken 2 days after submission. Hopefully you have had it by now but only just seen this.
Tracey.
