House up for Sale!

Just had the EA round and the house is now up for sale.
Putting it on early incase it takes a while.

Fingers X to everyone selling theirs too.

We're in the same boat, house been up for just under 3 weeks now and have had 8 veiwings now! Good luck with everything, and good luck with keeping the house tidy with kids on the go!!

Good luck with the house sale, we accepted an offer on Tuesday, so its early days yet for us, but fingers crossed it will all go ok. I wont be going until Autumn anyway so I have a few more months to play with.

Hi Em

Can I ask your advise we have just application for my OH to go to melbourne college on a student visa the course is due to start on 14.07.09. We can't apply for the visa until 4mths before the start date but when we do it can come through in just 6-8wks...

I have no idea when to put the house on the market any thoughts

Hi

Speaking to EA and reading other threads the market is very slow at the moment or how my EA says "difficult". Our visa application was only sent in Jan so will probably be another 8 or so months before we get our visa but we want to be ready to go when it arrives and not be waiting for the house to sell. We weighed up the pros and cons of selling now and decided that if it does sell early we'll move into a small 2 bed flat and wait. We can't go if we don't sell and I'd like the kids to start school next year when the new year/term starts in Jan.

I think its a tough decision to make. Do you have to sell to go and have you got anywhere to go into if you sell your house??

What course is your OH doing??
