Well not exsacly from the gold coast to Sunshine coast it will take u around 2 1/2 hours and that's if u get a good run.
from Brisbane its around an hour each way
I cannot say much about the Sunshine Coast, as I've not travelled up that far as of yet. We are living on the Gold Coast and all hubby has said about the SC is that (although beautiful), you have to travel a lot more to get from A to B, as everything's too spread out. Everything seems too spread out to me, here on the GC and he says it's a lot worse up there. Guess I just got too used to the 10 min walk into town, in England..

Can't comment on the sunshine coast as never lived there, but the gold coast has plenty to do for teenagers. Cinemas, theme parks, loads of shopping centres and lovely beaches. We have young children and they love it here.

Aye, we don't live very far from you, Jo, and I agree the GC is a fantastic place for kids!
hi ozzyliving....just a quick question where r u in jimboomba? and we drive up to bribie island on the sunshine coast and it takes us about 1hour 20mins...we are in jimboomba wondered where u were...would be good to chatxxx
I loved the sunshine coast, beautiful beaches and coastal line. Thought Gold coast was too busy for my liking, though some beautiful places too. Its a case of having to visit really. We want to base ourselves north of Brisbane so that we are close to Sunshine coast

Hi Dave and Jan.
Yes, reiterating Mrs YG's comments about the Sunshine Coast, it is very spread out, making it an awfully long drive getting from one place to the other!
It's bad enough here on the Gold Coast but the Sunshine Coast is much worse and even more spread out.
I would also say with both of your trades...Joiner/Nail Technician that the Gold Coast would be a place to find jobs quite easily for you both. Home related building trades are very sought after here, and hubby should land a job very quickly, and earn good money as well.
Other negatives for the Sunshine Coast are, it is slightly warmer and more humid in summer, and in my opinion house and land prices are way way way too expensive for what you get !!!
In my opinion, I simply cannot understand the prices they are charging there on the Sunshine Coast! They are out of control.
