hello, i went to the London expo last saturday, and spoke to this company who were from brisbane who had a stall. Today i have recieved a email from this company saying i have been chosen as one of 2oo people that they would seriously like to speak to!! does anyone have any information on this company? or what they do? thank you
yes I got one too,,funny thing is,,workforce solutions put me in touch with a thing called australian construction training services,,I had given the guy on the workforce solutions stand my c.v,,,anyway this acts had left a message on my ansaphone by the time i had got back from the expo, with a contact number saying they could help me out with an AQF III.
The funny thing is I had e-mailed the A C T S only the week before explaining i was a floor fitter and they said they could not help me,,,this guy from the same firm however said he could,,,at a cost of £3700,,,yes i know what u are thinking(scam),,,anyway I arranged to meet him today,,on the job,he travelled up from London to Oldham(235 miles),,and when we met,,low and behold he said he couldnt help me,,,confused,,I was,,,he told me to go and learn how to fit kitchens and windows for four years and maybe I would get a sponsorship................the most ironic part was he was called Bruce!!!!!!!!
so did you reply to to the email? and did it say you were chosen out of 15000,that only 200 made it and 1 of those people was you? im a bricky and this does sound interesting but is it a scam?? or is it legit?

I have not replied to it and I won't be doing,,as I understand ,workforce solutions are a government approved agency that recruit and source personell from the uk and abroad,,and offer only the temporary 457 sponsored visa,,this seems to me that they have found a nich were they can bring in temporary workers from abroad to ease the short term labour shortagess in some trades in aus,,,its not for me and i would advise before you do anything,,look into it and read the small print
My o/h also had the email saying he was one of 200 out 15000 applicants that they had contacted. Their website is not clear as to their intentions, so we emailed them to clarify, and told them that we have already appointed an agent to deal with our 175 visa and did not want a conflict of interest, and he replied saying that their interests were for recruitment purposes only. So we are in the same boat of not knowing what to do.
Having said that, they are not asking for any payments upfront, which leads us to wonder whether to fill in the extremeley huge questionnaire that they have sent them, and return it with copies of refeences etc and see what follows.......
Taking a guess - coz non of us know for the moment.............but I reckon it will take you down a legit route but the prices will be exagerrated! No harm in going through the process and view the costings along the way!
I agree. I have been thinking about this more since my last posting, and I think I will email them back and find out their full intentions and costs before taking it any further. from other threads that I have read, they seem to take people on 457 visas. If this is the case, then it is a waste of time for us, as we might as well wait for our 175 visa - If they are that keen, then they will be happy to wait too.
