Swimming pools!?

To all of you in Perth and Sydney lucky enough to own a (unheated)pool,

Do you still use it in May or is the weather not warm enough?

Looking at holiday rentals but if a heated pool is a wise choice it limits the options substantially.

Thanks

Hi dazarooni

I went to Brisbane late May early June 2007. My kids went in my friends pool ONCE. yes it was Bl***ly cold.

Hope this helps, but remember I was in Brisbane.

you can buy solar heating kits for the pool but they can be a bit pricey,a cheaper option is a pool blanket which sits on the top of the water and keeps the water warm (or warmer)

I think we stopped using our pool in June last year - we do have a pool blanket this year and during summer I have to say it's been like getting into a warm bath - not sure what difference it'll make for winter yet though. But during the summer hols it was used everyday and most weekends and evenings in summer
