Hi, we are looking at moving to Perth in September can anyone give us more info on Armadale and surrounding suburbs, pos and neg also any info on schools our son is 10 thanks.
We are going to Perth this year and looked at Armadale - low prices etc. I have family in Thornlie so thought it might suit us girls nearly 10 & 5.
Armadale for us is a definate NO NO.
One quote was "if you want you kids to grow into adults dont go there" that said more than enough for me. Schools are big, areas dont look nice (without offending) schemey!!
I dont think saving money on a cheap house is worth it. Some areas around there are better.

Hi I work in Armadale, there are some nice areas and it is expanding but there is a lot of low cost housing in the area. It has had major development and has a great shopping centre. Personally, i wouldn't live in Armadale, but the surrounding areas of Mount Nassura and Rolystone are nice and also Southern River which is just as you get to the shire of Armadale (but not in the centre). Billy and Mrs Braveheart live in Forestfield which is also nice.
I guess I've took along time to say that the surrounding areas are nice, but I'd avoid Armadale centre.

We have been in Perth for just over a year and are currently renting in Seville Grove – a new suburb just north of Armadale. The whole area is currently being developed to provide new housing together with associated improvements to the infrastructure. The Armadale Shopping Centre is currently going through a major redevelopment and is an excellent place to shop……….never gets overcrowded, easy free parking, clean environment and an ever increasing number of shops.
My wife is a nurse and works at Armadale/Kelmscott Hospital which is just 5 minutes away and loves it. We have two children ages 12 and 15, both in an excellent private school, also just 5 minutes away. I work in construction and travel 25/30 mins to work.
We haven’t decided where we will eventually buy our own house but are seriously considering staying in Seville Grove, its well located for us, and just 30 mins from the beach.
Don’t know much about housing in Rockingham. The beach there however is excellent, particularly for young children as the sea is the calmest you’ll see anywhere. Only spoilt by the heavy industrial feel and the mills/factories of nearby Kwinana.
hi
since we started the process had heart set on brisbane but recently come round to perth not sure which suburb as it is early days for us,oh is carpenter 4 children 12,11,9,8 just wondered how much it costs for private schooling? or what are local state schools like? also comments really on how you would say WA compares to QLD sorry so many questions!!
Didn't realise that this had been arranged, not been on here for a while. Sadly will probably not be able to make it on Sunday. Hope everyone has a great day though.
