Once your meds have been processed and cleared the information will be added to the database (DIAC's pride & joy.)
Everybody has stopped moaning about delays at the LCU/HOC, so I think they must be back up to normal operating speed, meaning that your meds should be processed within 2-3 weeks.
I'd say give it at least a fortnight and then ring the Helpdesk at Australia House in London. They have instant access to the database and will be able to tell you when your meds and/or police checks have been cleared. The call costs £1 a minute but there isn't a half-hour canned message to pui up with before a human comes on the line.
I belieev they ask for your passport numbers and if you have the Transaction Reference Number handy as well then so much the better.
Thanks Gill, now i know what a DIAC is and its good news about a 2-3 week wait as i was told by GP 6-8 weeks. Could you tell me what LCU/HOC stands for and were do i find the number for Australian House, looking forward to your reply.
I have just has my police checks forms back (they had them for 30 days !!!!!!!) saying i needed to give them proof of my 16 year olds address. They wanted a untitlity ( carn't spell) bill or drivers licence. Well if they had looked at the passport copy i sent them they would have noticed he's only 16 and as for paying a bill.................no chance. So sent details off now with the one and only bank statement he has ever had ( which arrived today......the aussie angel must be watching over us) and now have to wait another 40 days ( Hubby want pay the higher price). Sorry to go on but just needed to moan, feel better now XX Anyway shouldn't moan still awaiting CO and house to sell (dont get me on that one).
