Which are the better(main) mobile phone companies in oz, we are going to buy payasyou go sims when we first arrive and wondered if anyone had any ideas.

hi my friend is a manager here of 3 mobiles. They have them over there aswell, Good tarrifs here so may be good over there also.

We're off to Australia in March for a holiday and the good thing is I can take my mobile and can use my free mins to call home which Im happy about. She just called them to say I was on holiday.

I wanted some thing cheep until I got a permanent job
So.

I got a phone for the optus network phone pay as you go the phone is ok
What annoy's me are the credit times out!

I am effectively being forced to spend $30 each month even if I do not use the phone!

When I get a permanent job I will get a blackberry type phone
It certainly will not be with optus network.
