Points on Driving Licence

I have 6 points on my licence for speeding,When we move to melbourne and apply for a new licence will the points be still there are will they be left off.

hi there,
when my friend moved to adelaide she had points on her licence but when she went to change her licence the points where not put on her auss one ,so she is now point free

I think it is standard not to transfer points over to your Australian one

Oh I hope they do not get carried over. I have 6. Not very proud of them but our speed camera man only ever comes out on a sunny day and then suddenly a whole load of us get caught doing 37! Last time he zapped me I seriously contemplated reversing over him.
