Visa 137!! HELP!

Hi everyone

New to this site, wondered if anyone had gone through the same!

We gained sponsorship from the W.A government back in June 2007 as my husbands occupation in on the skills in demand list for W.A. (painter and decorator) Visa 137

Once we had this we went ahead and sent off the main application form. We have completed medicals and police check and got caseofficer in November. As we now seem to have been waiting FOREVER, our agent contacted the caseofficer on Monday to see what the hold up was. We have been informed that everything has gone through but they are just waiting for confirmation that the W.A government still want to sponsor us!
Could not beleive it. Agent says he can't gaurentee they won't cancel sponsorship. We would not have gone through with the application if we had not received sponsorship. Has anyone else gone through the same? Is this standard procedure??

FEELING VERY ANXIOUS!! We surely can't of got this far for them to change their minds.

OMG Emma thats a bit of a knockback, we are still waiting for our C/O but we have got State sponcorship the same as you..

Hi Emma,

OH got state sponsorship from Vic government in early last year and we got our visa approval in mid December. CO didn't mention anything to us about the State changing their minds. We even got a congratulatory email from the Vic government a few days after our visa approval email, which was really nice of them!

I'm sure it's more of a final check to make sure everything is in place. Don't fret too much - the end is very near!!

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you hear back from your CO very soon with great news

Emma,

I'd hazard a guess the DIAC case officer is simply waiting for a form 1100 from the WA Government ... and that maybe the WA Government has been waiting for the DIAC file reference from you or your agent so they could issue the form 1100 ...

In my view this is unlikely to be a major issue.

Hi Emma
We have had to ask wa to resend out 1100 form twice now. Our case officer keeps saying he has not received it. Did you contact WA with your file number and case officers name?
WA have now sent me a letter confirming they have sent the 1100 form . i scanned it and sent it to my case officer. Hopefully that will do the trick . Good luck
