When I start a thread or add to one I have it set to tell me when someone replies. However when I go back to check the rely it usually won't show it to me for at least an hour sometimes mmore. I have gotten around this sometimes by viewing the printable version of the page but that doesn't always work either. It can be very frustrating when I am dying to read the advice or comment. Is there anything else I can do? I have logged out and closed the webpage, then opened another page and viewed it as a guest and sometimes that will show the updated thread but not always.
Sorry for complaining, I think the website is brilliant I just assume I have clicked something wrong or have my setting screwy! If you can tell me how to sort out this problem I would be very grateful.

There is a limitation to how big a server operating a web site can be usually it is cost.
that is limiting factor.
The more people on the web site at the same time the slower the service
also on a 24 hours service periodic back-up of data have to be done by the
server.
It is not surprising that from time to time web tasks are delayed.
I do think this a problem most of the time everthing seem ok .
Sometimes, the server may take longer than normal because of the number of folk online but I don't think it should be that slow. The other thing is the internet cache kept on your local machine (this helps load pages quicker) could be caching older pages and not updating when you visit new pages. The easiest way to see if this is the case is to try a hard reset on the page in question, where your local machine is 'force' to get the information from the wabsite. To do this pressthe ctrl key and the F5 key together.
