would appreciate your thoughts on good agents with realistic costs.
noted a few mentioned already, several posts recommending one particular agent, would like to hear of your experiences. Have a little problem with maybe not getting son onto visa as over 19yrs so appreciate some very experienced help from reccommended agent.
planning to do some of the application myself, ie skills assessment.
I'm using Visa Bureau - not cheap at over £2k, but they have been very good and provided loads of advice, help with the forms etc - basically a full service and I'd recommend them upto now. Of course, I still havent finished my application process, so full judgement is reserved ;) good luck :)

We used AVIN and he - Giselher - was ( and still is ) fantastic, don't think we would have got the visa without him ( mainly the TRA part ). When he said that it would be better for us to apply on Sept 1st and for me to do the IELTS he even took the cost of the test off his fee so our total cost remained the same !! He seems to charge less than many others too.
He lives in Woy Woy about 80km north of Sydney and has even said that he will come to the airport and get us when we arrive in Sydney ( 6.55 am ) for our reccie and take us to our hotel !! He said just because we have the visa doesn't mean that his job is finished.
Location: leicestershire to perth, fingers crossed!

Tracy and John,
This is a question of your son's dependency. Being aged 19 is not a bar to his inclusion, but if he is earning a wage there is a real risk of a case officer not being persuaded that he is dependent on you.
You may then be looking at a longer term strategy whereby he joins you at a later date as the holder of a Remaining Relative visa once you are "settled" and able to sponsor his application. In the interim a Working Holiday Maker visa could be in prospect.
