We had to actually take in a copy of the legislation to the vet to ensure neither of our dogs had the leptospirosis vac - you have to be on top of it cos a lot of UK vets (cos they don't deal with emigration much) don't know the new rule that came out last week or last month (it changes all the time!)
Our Choff had to be re-tested for lepto levels three times before she could come out. (ie she failed the blood test twice) and I have heard of other dogs that have their trips delayed for six months till their lepto count was acceptable for immigration.
To anyone importing a pet - print out the AQIS quidleines and show them to your vet, and it should then be ok. But definitely DO NOT VACCINATE FOR LEPTO within a year of wanting to travel.
