Look like a trip to the vet and yet another folder for paper work will be needed! We couldn't leave her here no matter what, she's part of our little family. On that note, are cats OK with spiders? Millie is such a woss the only things she hunts with any bravery are spiders and D's feet under the duvet!

Yes she will be fine,
Apparently the spider venom does not affect animals but does humans so don't worry.
There are lots of people here with pets. She will love it

Yep, you've really gotta love your pets to pay out all that dosh. We've had a quote from Petair for our 2 little terriers.....£3,150 and that doesn't include onward flights from the kennels at Melbourne to Adelaide where we are going. However, Petair do 2 price tarriffs with the cheaper one meaning you can do some of the work yourself, the price above is if they do everything.

I asked Petair to send me a breakdown of every single cost, which they kindly did, I'm still going to get some more quotes though. Like most other people on this thread I can't even consider leaving them behind.

Thanks Becky, I'll get D onto that one as soon as. Couldn't go without her, but want to be as efficient as possible and doing some of the leg work looks like the only way to cut things down as much as poss.

Hi your lucky we got a quote for our 3 pooches over 6k!!!
There are some that are cheaper but at the end of the day they may not look after them properly during flight etc.. there is alot involved & I am sure you want your little moggie in the best possible hands.
Good luck with it all

Wow, 6k!? I thought 3 grand was a lot!

Having said that looking at what others have paid 3 grand seems about right. If you don't mind me saying I think 6 grand seems an awful lot. Petair are a large company, which is probably how they keep costs down and I've not heard anything bad about them but I'll still get other quotes. I think Golden Arrow are a company other people have used and seem pleased with. I'm sure there are plenty to choose from and compare prices,
