Hi all,
Had an "open viewings" on Saturday between 12-2.00pm. Not one person to view our house. Boo! Hoo! But at least the place looked nice n'tidy (was rushing round with a tin of paint at five to 12 covering up a few marks!). Looks like we will be in for a long wait before we get to OZ! .... Trouble is - we've told people we are going now - so all we get is "When are you going to Oz then!"
Still planning our validation trip in April though.
hi oh how disappionting no one came . at least you now have a nice tidy house (only time mine was tidy was for viewings kids didnt dare do anything) has it been up long we put ours up beginning of sept and sold it 2 weeks ago but had to drop the price . good luck sure someone will come along . haze x
Hi
I know how frustrating this house selling is. We have sold ours but it seems to be taking forever to go through. Our buyers surveyor hasn't been round yet and we are about 4 weeks in since they made the offer! I am a bit nervous in case something is found in the survey that puts them off and we end up having to go back on the market again. We have validated our visas (came back 2 weeks ago) but like you I am fed up with people saying "are you still here?" or "haven't you gone yet?" and until we exchange on the house we can't book flights or accommodation.
Good Luck with your sale though. Keep plumping those cushions!
Mandy x
We can definitely relate.. We've had our house on the market since August, and after a few viewings, not a single offer. We sacked our original agent last week, and put in on with a new one at the weekend. We have already had one viewing from them which is a positive start.. Hopefully they'll be coming back for a second..
So stressful playing this game... all we wanna do is just pack up and go.....

Desperation to sell house worsened...... 15/11/07 :arghh:
Snap... we're still waiting to sell. I gave up my job in June and we told everyone that we were leaving in September but visa app got delayed with other stuff going on and now can't sell the house anyway! I'll be applying for a part time Xmas job this week and continuing to be anal about housework!
Hey ho, it'll be worth it in the end!

SAME HERE TOO ONLY HAD 2 VIEWINGS, SECOND COUPLE CAME BACK FOR 2ND VIEWING WAS TOLD THEY WERE GATHERING THEIR FINANCES TOGETHER AND WOULD BE PUTTING AN OFFER IN SOON, THAT WAS LAST MONDAY!!!! NEVERMIND IT COMES TO THOSE WHO WAIT (EXTREMELY PATIENTLY MIND!!!!) GOOD LUCK ALL!!! LISA XXXX
Our house sale fell through at the weekend!! The buyers still want it but their buyers have dropped out.
Trouble is now though, we leave in less than 3 weeks and shippers come next Monday, the house is a complete tip at the mo, no way could we have any viewing again and once the shippers have took everything we need to do a bit of painting (behind where wardrobes were etc) !!
Feel like telling them to wait til we've gone, then leave them to sort in all out.

My Mood:
NO!
and I am getting fed up
apparently we have had a higher than average number of viewings - 4! in about 5 weeks
but they all think our bathroom is too small
not much I can do about that, it has everything you need, how much room do you need in a bathroom for goodness sake we have coped for 10 years and brought up 2 kids, one of them is over 6ft, so it can't be that bad
I am sure we will all find buyers in the end, I just hope that the end is not too far away
