Proof of relationship

Hi Everyone

I just wondered what evidence people have given to prove their relationship if they aren't married.

How much stuff did they send, just one or two things or loads of stuff?

Thanks

HH x

We sent loads of stuff, don't know if it is right but this is what we sent.
-statement from my mum, my best friend and OH's best friend stating when we met and that the relationship is ecognised by everyone and that we live together as if we were married.
-Childrens birth certificates that have both our names on
-copy of council tax bill with both our names at same address on
-copy of bank statement of joint account
-copy of the parts of our wills that state that we leave evrything to each other.
-we did statements of our relationship, ie when we met, how we met, shared interests, how we have supported each other through good and bad time etc, basically make you OH sound great and visa versa.
I do know that some people put in dated photos of them as a couple. Also copies of invites with both names on.

I would say that you put in as much as you can, too much is better than not enough.

Hope that helps

Tracey

G'day HoorayHenry

We've just sent off more evidence to our Case Officer today regarding my relationship with my girlfriend. Fortunately we had photos from early on in our relationship. We also sent off copies of anything that had both our names on,ie, utility bills, rental agreements, bank statements, car insurance etc. We also told them of our website from when we went travelling (Jimbob and Rachel Travel the World | LIFE'S A BEACH if your that bored!). The more you have the better.
Hope this helps

Jimbob

Hi there,
We had to do the same, but we didn,t have anything in joint names, so our solicitor typed up a stat dec for us to sign, then we found some old holiday documents with both our names on. this was enough for us. But any thing you can find will help

My brother included letters that they had written to each other when he had returned to the UK the first time and she was still in Aus (showing their relationship continued when they were apart), she then came to UK so they had joint bills etc., Any invites with both your names on, photo's over the years
Some have got other people to do stat decs about how they know them as a couple etc.

Hiya we had to do this even though we had been together 17years !! Our agent asked us for old photos ,the older the better,a stat dec off each of us saying how and when we met,a stat dec off a close friend but not relative who had known us a while.Any bills in joint names,,again the older the better and a joint mortgage account should cover it.Hope this helps you a little
