Hi Guys
Yes, be afraid, very afraid of these 2 dodgey emails. We were emailed a couple of weeks ago, from friends in oz, but like an idiot, they're names come up warning us not to read the email. I should have known something was up as it wasn't their usual email address, it just stated their names. Unfortunately for us after opening the email, i thought nothing more of it, until the next morning when i my computer was dead. It took 11 days for the pc to be fixed. So make sure you don't make this same mistake.
Hi , Eddie , Have Just Read Your Warning, What Do U Mean That U Were Warned Not To Read The Email ??
Ps Hows It Going Apart From Pc Going Tits Up !!
Hi Tomo lifes great got the visa
All i can say about this email is it may be one hell of a coincidence but this was the last email we received before the computer died and my computer is only 10 months old. Anyhow, as i recognised the name of the sender (again could have been a coincidence) i read it unaware that the virus had got into my address book tricking me into opening it. We also thought we would warn others to delete anything containing these words straight away.
guys this is the email I got sent telling me about the dodgy email, think it will be of help to everyone; explains it pretty well if your
Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton.
Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.
You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point presentation 'Life is beautiful.'
If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES , and delete it immediately.
If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'
Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.
This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.
AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not capable of destroying it.
The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner.' PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY
Can you tell us anything Tim about the other email 'invitation'? Like i say i don't want to scaremonger unnecessarily.
Thanks.
Eddie
P.S. Tomo - we're off to Queensland, and we do have Norton virus checker.
