Manchester Restaurants

We will be staying in Manchester on Saturday 27th as be visiting the expo. Just wondering if anyone knows of any decent restaurants for an evening out. Will be staying at Palace Hotel so somewhere nearby would be great. Don,t mind if its Chinese, Italian or anything tasty.

Me and the misses went to Manchester and ate at Koreana (Korean Restaurant) I have never had Korean and the misses can be a little fussy about what she eats so she was more than a little anxious at not knowing what it would be like. All I can say is AWESOME!!!

It was a week night and we were the only brits in the 3/4 full restaurant - had to be a good sign. Doesn't look much from the outside and its in the basement of the building but the food was excellent. We just chose a selection from the menu having no idea what they were and couldnt have been happier. Service was above average, flavours excellent!! Highly recommend it to anyone!!!!

P.S. It can be a bugger to find if approaching from the city centre it was a further out of the shopping bit than it looked on th emap but well worth the 7-8 min walk.

Lightbulb Manchester Restaurants

Hi Debs

If you go right out of the hotel to the lights, then right before the Palace Theatre and walk down there, there are loads of restaurants there. Whilst walking down the street you will come to a crossroads (With a pub called the Old Monkey on the far left corner) at the lights turn right, walk a couple of minutes, on the right is a nice chinese buffet place called Peking Court. Alternatively, instead of turning at the lights, go over the road past the old monkey pub and if you look left on the roads afterward, there is China Town, where obviously there are lots of nice chinese restaurants (as you can tell I prefer Chinese food) although there is a nice Japanese place there near the Chinese Arch, but I can't remember the name. If you want a nice Indian, just get the hotel to get you a taxi and ask for the curry mile in Rusholme, its only about 10 mins in a cab.

Hope I haven't confused you too much and this helps

Thanks

Lisa

Hi,

I used to go to Manchester a lot with work. My favourite place to eat was the Yang Sing, the food is fantastic in there. I've eaten there many times and never been dissapointed!

Yum
