Unhappy HELP!!! I need an Indian

Hi everyone
We've been searching high & low for over 2 years for an authentic Indian in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area. Can anyone recommend one??? Some have been okay-ish, others were just revolting. Coming from London & being used to Brick Lane and an endless supply of excellent quality Tikka Masala's we're getting withdrawal symptoms
Thanks You

Indian Recommendation

Hi guys

We were told before we arrived that you cant find a decent indian but we have been to two and both were really nice. We went to a superb one which we found in the yellow pages and it has won alot of awards for its food and theme. The restaurant is kitted out very traditionally, the staff in there full indian attire and the food is very very good. Be warned though we love our indian food and used to eat it every Friday and i like it medium and my oh hot. We ordered medium as we had our kids with us and it was hot, not unbearable but hotter than usual. The nann and all food is fresh and cooked from scratch. An added bonus that if you wish you can bring your own bottle. I am afraid though it is Maroochydore on the sunshine coast. Its called India Today. We hope you find somewhere closer but if not the next time you visit the sunshine coast bear this place in mind. We are going to make it our regular for Fridays! Good Luck

I can recommend a few Indian restaurants in Adelaide, if that helps anyone ! Sorry I don't know any in Brissie...

Jasmine on Hindmarsh Sq
Tandoori Oven at Hyde Park, or the nearby Chef's of Tandoori
Ruby Raja at Tea Tree Gully

Hey Hevgee! We have also been told not to expect too much in on the Indian food front. Being a Madras girl I know I am gonna miss my bajis!! Anyway, cousin said that they sold Pataks over there so maybe rustle up one of my curries for ya!! Let us know if you find anything decent - nothing like a take away!! Nat
