Have to agree... seen movment here in Telford too.

Two houses near to me ... 5 bed 3 story ones have just sold... one has been on since Jan....

We haven't got ours on yet due to uncertainty regarding visa... (whether we will ever get it)...... but it gives me hope that if and when we do, the market might be a little quicker.

Hi
We have sold ours now. Met with the buyers again on Friday and they also want a few bits of furniture to get them started as they are in rental and don't have much. I am just keeping fingers crossed now that it all goes through reasonably smoothly. Then I need to worry about where our family of four are going to live for a couple of months. Hope your houses go soon
Best of Luck

Unhappy

Hope ours sells soon, we also have a 5 bed town house and it's been on the market for 2 weeks, had 2 viewings booked on the first week, both cancelled and nothing since. With that and the delay in medicals, probably won't get to TAS by Xmas...hey ho!

Well, didn't want to shout this too loudly but we have just instructed our Solicitors to open a sale file!!!!!!!

Yep, we had an asking price offer that we have accepted. Don't want to jinx it so will keep this post low key but I would definitely say the housing market is on the move again.

Its true what someone said in another post, everything can change overnight.

Selling up

It’s a big step to sell your home especially if you have been there a long time.

When we move we are planning on keeping our house in England for a year or so. My Sister who is single and a teacher lives with us and she is staying here. Our house is in a rural area so she’s a bit spooked about being here alone in a big old house, but no doubt she’ll have friends around all the time. Luckily we should have no problem selling when the time comes, because there are farmers in our area who are after the land, so fingers crossed it should sell OK. In one way we are helping my sister out but it does give us a sort of life belt in case we did decide to come back. Who knows little Sister may even buy it off us if she can find her cheque book and pen, which would be a big shock to her big fat bank account. (God she’s tight with the money)

Put our house on the market 3 weeks ago. Had a few viewing, the usual 'rent a crowd' bunch. You really do wonder why they are looking???? We are hoping that you are right and that the housing market is starting to pick up a bit now. Well done those who have sold, hang in there for us that haven't, I am sure there wil be some one wanting to buy our houses.

Hi Tracy
Congratulations on the 'sale'.We are just in the same boat. We too have accepted an offer and have now instructed a solicitor to start proceedings but I am not celebrating until its done and dusted cause you just never know what may happen. Also we will then be left with the problem of where we are going to live until we leave the Uk-its just one thing after another isn't it? No wonder my wine rack is always empty-lol
