My parents live in Perth and today popped in to the immi office to have their permanent visa stamped (hooray!) but also asked a few questions to ask about our visa application.
Just FYI, apparently the immi office, for GSM visas, receive....wait for it.....

Might go some way to explaining the delay in even just acknowledging the applications!!
