Anyone else going bonkers?!!

Is anyone else going bonkers with the whole visa processing business????????

We are at the stage now where we should complete on the house sale next week so that we can invest our money before our visa is issued.

My head is in a permenant spin.
Neither me nor the OH are sleeping properly and thats been like it since we started this process back in May.
I have never been interested in emails before but now I've become obsessed with them. My first thought on a morning has been 'must check emails'.
Then its been trying to work when my meds were rec'd to being processed to being passed to the case officer. Now its once our house sale completes how long to transfer the money to invest then how long before they tell our case officer we've done it to how long the co will give us our visa and us beign able to book our flights and book our temp accomodation.
Trying to second guess everything is 'doing my head in'

I know that they are people out there on this site feeling exactly the same

Just thought i'd share - how about anyone else??.

Heather

Hi - I feel exactly the same !

My last papers re the medical were submitted 25 July and I'm just waiting for the yay or nay. I feel like our whole lives are on hold at the moment. It's so frustrating.

My son is due to start school in Jan in the UK but I'm hoping we'll be in Oz by then.

It's like wishing your life away .....

Oh yes, i remember it well... We got visas a couple of weeks ago and fly out on the 2nd oct. We were demented but if you look at the visa tracking system online that is a hughe help because it is so accurate. we forgot about it and wish we had done it sooner. If you have the date of when your application was lodged then you can see the movements. to give you an idea, ours was received 20th oct last year and we got our visa 4th sept this year. Our house sale was delayed therefore we have lost thousands of dollars because of the exchange rate being so crap! We will be renting when we get to Canberra so anyone with any contact there that would like 2 lodgers will be most welcomed! Have faith guys, when it all happens, you just move on to the next stage and try to keep smiling! Remeber we wanted to put ourselves through tthis stress, are we mad?? Will be in touch when we are there with any advice I can. xx

HI Heather
I know exactly what you mean, we only started the process 10 days ago and it has taken over our lives already. Oz is all we talk about and we can't wait to get there. My OH is a chef so we are just at the collecting references for the TRA and it is driving me mad kinowing how much to put in the references. Trying to contact old employers is a nightmare. I wish I could fast forward to next year and we were there. we are hoping to go to Brisbane. The thought of a great new life is keeping me going.

send a blank e mail with blank subject to aspc.processing@immi.gov.au and then wait for the reply which can take half hour. this is only if you are going through the adelaide skills processing centre......

hope this helps you. You will need to know your class and type of visa etc.

Fingers crossed for you!
