I Can't Take The Tra Wait Much Longer!!!!

We posted our TRA application on 17th August, arrived there 21st, acknowledgement dated 28th........since then, nothing. I'm so stressed at the the moment. My life revolves around the postman, I have to be in mid-day when he delivers....just in case!
How much longer do you think we will have to wait? I'm worried about the pathway D returns aswell, although I hope we just scraped in before that was abolished (4th Sept was working day 6 after 28th Aug). It's so hard waiting with no way of knowing how it is being processed....if at all!
Do you think I should ring them??????? Just to check if they are processing it and it is not being returned because of pathway D?
Should I chill out????
What do you sensible people think? I talk to friends about it, and they just don't understand.....I'm sure you know what I mean!

Still can't believe you haven't heard, my heart goes out to you, me I'd be e-mailing them just in case it's got lost in the post, as you received your ACK. the day before us!

I remember the agony well! Hard to say with Ally having heard back but she did post a week before you. If I've calculated correctly its been 39 days so far which from what I've read is about right - maybe give it until the end of the week before emailing?

Thanks for your replies. I hadn't even thought that it may have got lost in the post.
Just had a look on the acknowledgement letter and it says, "The majority of applications received in MODL occupations will be finalised in 10 working days, with the majority of all other applications finalised in 20 working days." It is 20 working days today from 28th, so I think I'll try and restrain myself from emailing until the end of the week........or maybe I'll send one tonight..........JUST WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!

I remember I was utterly convinced mine was lost in the post, but I was having problems with UK sent post going missing at the time anyway. I don't think I've heard of anyone getting processed in the 10 days, plus you have to add on the time for posting to/from Australia.

I think if you email anyway, you may find you get a general response that it can take something stupid like 20 days for the post arrive from the UK??? - I know they won't tell you over the phone/email what the outcome is either?!

hi we sent our tra off on 17th august and are still waiting its doing my head in too my agent said the will let us know as soon as they do but i want to know now .good luck hope u hear soon

Ours went off on the 16th Aug and we havent heard anything yet. I spoke to our agent yesterday and they said it could be another 4-5weeks as the backlog for Aug is unbelievable as everyone got it in before pathway D...It really hard. Im the same looking every day just waiting. I feel as if my life is on hold.. K sa ra sa ra !!!! Jo

Hi Tracy, yes your right it's 20 days from their acknowledgement date, but that's working days, and then add on the week to post it back (could be quicker) to you,so looking at your dates you should hear next week by post. Your not using an agent are you? otherwise there would hear first and then they would e-mail you.

Dont worry hun, you'll hear from them very very soon !!!!!
We had to wait the full 20 days from acknowledgement, so your not the only ones !!!!!! Anyhow, you probably sent them sooooo much, its taken longer to go through it all !!!!!!
Also, plumbing does cover quite alot of stuff, so I would imagine that takes longer too !!!
Im sure your next post will be "Yippeee.......We've passed the TRA !!!!

It makes me feel better to hear others are waiting to hear aswell, thought it was only us!!!!
Sally-ann, you made me laugh - as always! Yes, I was definately going for the bore them to tears with a load of twoddle on Q8 in the hope that they surrender and pass us rather than read it all.
That talk of 4 - 5 weeks seems a bit over the top though! There's no way I'm waiting that long!
Our post doesn't come until early afternoon which makes it worse, I build myself up all morning.....thinking this could be the day......and then finally when the postie is spotted a few houses down from ours, I spy at her from behind Charleys blind in his bedroom window. I feel the excitement build and the adrenalin surge through me, my heart beats faster and faster as the postie gets nearer and nearer.......and finally she leans her bike against our front wall and slowly rumages through her red magic bag............she pulls her hand from the bag clasping a few prescious envelopes............. and bypasses our house and goes to the neighbours!!!!!
