Air Con in homes & Heat in general

Hi,

Can you tell me if most homes in Queensland have air conditioning? Also, we have two children aged 5 and 1 and plan to be out there in December if anyone can share their experiences of dealing with the heat with young children.

Thanks

Liz

most properties have air-con and/or ceiling fans.We arrived last November and didnt really have any problems with our little one ,just make sure they always wear a hat outside, have lots of suncream on and drink plenty of fluid ,,hope this helps

Kids dont notice the heat the way adults do! Also QLD heat is very humid, so ceiling fans usually work better than aircons. In really hot weather, I used to put a wet tshirt on the little ones, give them their own airconditioning! Lots of water play, fluids and shade for all of you!
