dunnarunna will become famous soon enough
in two minds ( a really real dilema)

i am in two minds at the mo over my cats i had decided to rehome all my animals so far chickens, birds, dog & one cat have gone, but im totally unsure on my last two cats.
my youngest cat is where my problem lies, i have huge bond with her as i found her she was abandoned, the other cat is sort of her brother ( same mum year older) so want to keep them together. i did alot of research on animals in oz & cats are not liked due to killing animals & the little one is such a killer as she had to fend for herself before i found her, i hate it when she brings in birds etc, be even worse in oz, will it be spiders & snakes. also i read you need to keep cats in at night in oz, what sort of life will it be for them to be housecats(yuk litter trays again)
kids have got so upset when other animals have gone although they seem to get over it quick, i dont know if keeping the cats would make it easier for them.
i dont know what to do for the best, thought id got my head round this, can anyone who took their cats give me any advise on how cats get on out there to help me decided

Hiya Donna

Haven't got cats myself, but my brother has 2 in Aus. Can't say he has ever had any problems with them bringing in spiders etc and they are definately not kept in the house overnight, they are just treated as you would treat any other cat in the UK.

I know what you mean about the bond you have with your animals. We have two small dogs that we are taking with us. For us the decision was easy, they were coming and that was that. For us our family would not be the same without them and my boys love them to bits.

We are using Airpets and so far they have been brilliant. We have had to kennel the dogs with them for an extra 8 weeks as we fly on 6th July but they don't leave till August. They are sorting out blood tests, passports etc so it has been a big worry taken off our shoulders.

I am sure your cats will be ok whatever you decide

It's personal choice, we brought Becky our cat whose 15 she survived the journey and the summer heat and is as happy as larry (whoever larry is). We're really glad we brought her with us. There isn't a cat curfew in Perth, Becky comes and goes, she hasn't brought anything in yet.
