.... Leading women's monthly magazine is looking for British women under 35 who moved abroad following some traumatic event in the UK (could be job loss, divorce, death, illness, crime etc) and have made a new life for themselves. I'd need a photo and a quick phone/email chat, but it could be a great opportunity for anyone who has started up a business abroad that needs publicising or who just wants to say 'I've made it!'
How about the state of the tax, hospitals, workers rights, education, kids terrorizing people in their own neighbourhoods and homes, cost of fuel, cost of living, illegal immigration, council tax, the PC brigade, oh the list goes on..Blimey never realised I am so traumatised but alas I am 40..
Come on peeps surely we all aint that old!!!
Oh and btw they have even stopped selling cassette tapes in currys now!!! geez this country is going down
all said tongue in cheek Tammy..(ahemm)
good luck in your quest :)
Could you tell us some more about the magazine you work for before we start talking about our personal issues? I notice you have a bog standard email and not a company one. Sorry if i sound suspicious, but i am always cautious of anybody who ask's for personal infomation,
Thanks in advance,
Hays

Reason: typing error, ;-)
most people on here are leaving for the reasons jo pointed out below - so no major traumer really just fed up of this country and the chavs that live in it!

I think the reason the majority of us left or are leaving is the trauma the british goverment and court judges make us face on a daily basis ,,you can only take so much then its time to escape !!

Hi to all and to the poster asking for more info, the magazine is Cosmopolitan.
Don't know if a wedding qualifies as being traumatic enough, unfortunately. But the good news is that the brief has been expanded to include people who escaped abroad in order to do something truly inspirational.
Getting desperate now. Come on guys, dig deep, you can do it...
