HELLO everyone, morning/afternoon.... can any one let us know how long do you think it would be until we get our VISAS granted,as i have seen on some posts, that for some of you its taken months, for others its taken, a couple of weeks, even days, (i know theres the saying how longs is a piece of string),but just an idea is all we want, we have an agent working for us, and she tells us about 4/5 weeks,(say sooner please) everything has been done and completed and sent off, the meds where done on 02/05/07 of which i gather was the last bit of our application to be completed, and our C/O wants a reply by 23/05/07,any ideas from you lucky ones that are already there... or too those that have got them...and on your way.
Our visa was granted 4 wks & 4 days after our meds ARRIVED in Sydney, 8 wks after meds were actually done. You have to wait for blood tests to come back then they took about 4 days to reach Syd by courier. They then have to clear Sydney and be passed on to your CO.
I know its frustrating waiting but be patient and it'll arrive eventually.
Some folks do seem to get theirs quicker but I'd say 4/6 wks is about average.
I spoke to our agent a week after he sent our police checks off. He said he would expect an answer within 3 weeks, the response came back 2 weeks after the phone call. I would expect (based on everone elses visa timelines) that your agent is pretty much there and a visa will be yours by the end of May.
Don't get too excited just yet but remain quietly confident.

Were in the same boat, just waiting for that all important answear, are police checks went of to Oz early last week, and we have been told 6 weeks from then. Hang on in there, it won't be long now.
