Snap, I really wanted to tell everyone we were going a week after we actually were. My husband said I was mad. I am not feeling emotional yet about it, just dreading when people cry I will just by seeing them cry. Mad or What!

nah your not mad, i did think about taking mum and sis with us when we go so they can have a holiday and see where we are then they can leave us and come back, so they will be leaving us not the other way round, hubby thinks that is nasty, but after my sis cried hysterically all weekend when we told her we were going to apply i decided against it, thats a great idea though go the week before umm will give that some thought

No party for us either,we had to have one when we moved 200 miles north of where we both grew up and that was bad enough. Everyone thought we were moving to other side of world then not 4 hours away up the A1. Never really made any really close special friends in the village where we are now so really no point.
We'll just escape quietly with hugs and kisses to my baby 18 year old

We also did a 'raffle' with all our booze - full and part-bottles and donated the money to a charity.

I like the sound of that I've got plants in pots that I would hate to chuck out - also if friends had those they might think of us a bit each day (or not!) Booze wise we'd probably drink it and raffle the dregs

We gave our plants in pots to people - was really annoyed when OH brother (who was delivering them for us) took the one destined for his mum - just reinforced my 'something for nothing' opinion of him
